Jerry L. Halsey, Jr. serves as a Managing Partner and Executive Broker of Halsey Thrasher Harpole Real Estate Group and Managing Partner for Halsey Partners LLC (the family holding company).
Jerry L. Halsey, Jr. is a graduate of Northeast High School in North Little Rock and Arkansas State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Insurance.
Jerry was licensed as a salesperson in 1986 and received his broker’s license in 1990. He sold real estate in Little Rock and Jonesboro through his college career.
Jerry farmed with his father from 1992 – 1999. In 2000 Jerry expanded the family business into real estate.
In 2001 he started his own company Halsey Real Estate Investments. In 2003 Jerry partnered with Bruce Burrow and formed Burrow Halsey Realty Group, Inc., and served as CEO & Principal Broker, until mid-2009 when he purchased all the stock and changed the name to NAI Halsey later changing its name to Halsey Real Estate Inc. Jerry served as CEO & Principal Broker of Halsey Real Estate Inc. until the merger with Thrasher Realty Group.
Jerry enjoys many facets of real estate, from brokerage to development to ownership. His personal experience runs the gamut of the industry, with market-leading experience in retail centers, office buildings, industrial properties, agricultural properties, self-storage facilities, and undeveloped commercial and residential land.
Jerry holds a real estate license in Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri and Alabama. He is noted as a market-leader, whether in education and designation or significant transactions in every category of commercial real estate. As one of only a select number of CCIM and the only SIOR in the market, Jerry is uniquely qualified by virtue of training and experience.
Jerry is a former Commissioner for the Arkansas Building Authority in the State of Arkansas and served as the Chairman of the Jonesboro Metropolitan Area Planning Commission from January 2010 through August 2011. He was a member of the Jonesboro Vision 2030 comprehensive planning advisory commission during its planning phase. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Arkansas State Police Foundation.
